Travel Assistance
Yes. Direct non-refundable bookings at Nova Galaxy Village include Travel Assistance coverage for selected unexpected events. This added protection helps you book your Lapland stay with greater peace of mind.
Travel Assistance may help protect your stay if your trip is cancelled before it begins due to a covered reason, such as serious illness, accident or another eligible unexpected situation. Supporting documents are required for the assistance process.
When you book directly with Nova Galaxy Village, you receive the best available booking benefits, personal assistance from our team and Travel Assistance included with eligible non-refundable stays. Direct booking also makes it easier for us to help you with special requests and questions before your arrival.
Inside of the Aurora Hut
Kitchenette inside Aurora Hut includes sink, tap and water kettle. Notice that water isn't drinkable unless you boil it. In our public restroom is available drinkable water. You can fill your water bottles there!
We also have bath towels, bath ropes and slippers what you can use during your stay.
How to get here?
Direct flights from Helsinki to Rovaniemi every day, all year round. In winter and spring seasons direct flights from England, France, Turkey, Ireland, Belgium, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Scotland, to Rovaniemi. Nova Galaxy Village is only 17 km from the Rovaniemi airport. More information on the airport here.
Rent a car or drive your own to Rovaniemi and Nova Galaxy Village. We have a free parking. Make sure you check the driving conditions and local traffic rules before you start, especially in winter. See road conditions and weather here.
Check-in & check-out
Check-in is at 3 pm and check-out is at 11 am. You may extend your reservation at an extra cost if rooms are available. Please ask more details from the reception.
A late check-out between 11 am and 12 noon costs €50, and between 12 noon and 3 pm it costs half of the daily room rate. Please ask more details from the reception!
If you arrive early or need to leave late, we can store your luggage at the reception while you join our activities.
General information
We are happy to help guests with any allergy concerns. Please, let us know if you have allergies at latest when you arrive. Please contact the reception if in need of first aid. In the emergency call 112!
Smoking is not allowed indoors according to Finnish law. The fine for smoking indoors is €500–€800. Please smoke in designated area and dot not litter.
Unfortunately for safety and comfort, this accommodation is reserved for guests aged 18 and over. Pets are also not allowed.
Northern lights
You can see northern lights from late August to early April. The best time is on clear, dark nights, away from city lights, usually between 9 pm and 2 am. Remember to look the sky actively, because northern lights come and go!
Yes you can! Nova Galaxy Village is located 15 km from Rovaniemi city center, so there is no city lights nearby. If they are strong, it's even possible to see them through windows of the Aurora Hut.
Yes of course! We have Aurora Alert included to the stay, so you get the live alert when the northern lights are active and possible to be seen in the sky.
Activities
We have different kinds of activities depending on seasons. For example we have snowmobile tours in daytime and in the night, northern light tours, hiking with guide, husky experiences and husky rides with sled and on the wheels. Also we have jet skis, stand up paddles and snow shoes!
In the winter time we have couple of reindeers living in Nova Galaxy Village. You can say hi to them, pet them, take pictures and join our staff in the feeding time. There is also free-roaming reindeers around us and they sometimes visit us around the year.
We collaborate with a small, local husky farm located on our property. The huskies are very friendly and love meeting people, enjoying plenty of pets and cuddles. In the summer time huskies are in their summer vacation!
